My First Cross Country Meet Experience
This is an example of life blogging. Life blogging is a sharing of a story of something that happened to you in your personal life.
Moran’s first cross country meet of the year was so much fun! We were able to stay after school while all the buses had left and finally we were called down to the locker rooms to change from our dresses and suits into our uniforms. Then we went outside to the field that we started on. Shortly after, many fans started showing up as well as the other schools, Kennedy and Woodrow Wilson. Altogether, we had a great support by the fans! First up to our tiring two mile course were the girls. On a quick ready…go they were off! About halfway through the girls’ race all the boys for Moran, including me, came up with a cheer. It went something like this: Give me an M….M, Give me an O….O, Give me an R….R, Give me an A…..A, Give me an N….N, What does that spell…..Moran!!! At the girls finish, we had some good placing including places 1, 3, 5, 6, 9 and 10. Next up were us, the boys. We all started at ready…go! We were all off! First I went around the upper baseball field and then down the side of the school. We then went around the lower soccer field and back up the side of the school again. Once again going around the upper baseball fields. By this time my heart was pounding and I was breathing heavy. I went down the side of the school again and went into the woods. Through the woods I went and wearily climbed the huge hill in the woods. When I got out of the woods I went back around the lower soccer field again and up the side of the building. Last, I went aroud the upper baseball field and finally finished the two mile course! I ended up coming in 24th which isn’t bad, about halfway. After everyone had finished the course, we sat down, boys and girls, as a team. Our coach told us that both boys and girls had done well and both had won against the two schools! Everyone was so happy and that was basically my first meet experience.

You must be a great runner. I could never do that. That must be a great feeling to win at a tri-meet. Congrats on the win. Good luck in your next cross-country meet. I wish you all the best.
